Pharmaceutical nitrogen equipment (nitrogen purity 99.99%) is a pharmaceutical nitrogen generator developed according to GMP standards based on professional research and development experience of pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generators in recent years. Compared with steel cylinder nitrogen (or liquid nitrogen), it has low operating costs, stable nitrogen purity, and easy operation.

Water needles (such as penicillin) and large infusion solutions (such as amino acids) that are usually prone to oxidation require nitrogen protection, otherwise the drug solution is easily oxidized during storage, that is, deteriorated. Generally, before packaging, the method of pre flushing and post flushing (or single flushing) is used to reduce the oxygen concentration in ampoules or infusion bottles to below 0.5%, and the medicine can be stored for a long time. At present, the equipment purchased by general manufacturers is about 5-20m ³/h, with a purity of 99.99%. The difference between the medicinal nitrogen generator and other nitrogen equipment is that according to the international standard GMP in the pharmaceutical industry, the parts in contact with drugs or liquid medicines are made of stainless steel and require sterilization. The equipment needs to be made of non cast steel material, and a sterilization filter device is installed at the nitrogen outlet of the equipment. Also, because pharmaceutical factories have high overall requirements for equipment, they usually have high-end configurations.

Other raw material manufacturing plants also require nitrogen protection, and their nitrogen use process is more similar to that of fine chemical plants. The usual purity is 99-99.9%, but the amount used varies depending on the size of the factory, but it is much larger than that used in pharmaceutical nitrogen generators.
